Who we are

This website, neverretire.life, is the official home of the book Never Retire and its author, Bob Loudermilk. It is run by Bob Loudermilk and Second Half Press, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Bob and Second Half Press.

This page explains, in plain English, what information this website collects, how we use it and the choices you have.

What we collect and how

When you email us. If you write to us at [email protected], for example about a speaking date, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you choose to tell us.

When you visit. We use Google Analytics to see how the site is used. It uses cookies and records things like the pages you view, how long you stay, the website that sent you here, your general area (such as your city) and the kind of device and browser you use. It does not tell us your name or email address.

Technical information. Like every website, ours receives your internet (IP) address and browser details when your device asks for a page. Our hosting provider uses this to deliver the page and to protect the site. The site also loads its lettering from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google to fetch it.

Buying the book. You cannot create an account or pay on this site. Orders are placed on our online store at store.neverretire.life, which handles payment and delivery details and has its own privacy policy.

How we use it

We use what we collect to reply to you, to understand which pages are helpful so we can improve the site, and to keep the site working and secure. If you ask to hear from Bob, we use your email address to send those updates.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the companies that help us run this site:

• Google, for Google Analytics and Google Fonts.
• Cloudflare, which hosts the website.
• Zoho, which hosts our email.
• Our website and marketing provider, which builds and looks after the site and can see its visitor reports.

We may also share information if the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. The cookies on this site come from Google Analytics, which uses them to tell one visit from another. We do not set cookies of our own.

Your choices

• Cookie settings. You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. The site still works without them.
• Google Analytics. You can stop Google Analytics from recording your visits with Google's free opt-out browser add-on.
• Email. If you receive updates from us, you can stop them at any time with the unsubscribe link in the email or by asking us.
• Your information. You can ask us what we hold from your emails, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to [email protected].

Children

This site is written for adults. It is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Keeping it safe

The site is served over a secure (HTTPS) connection, and we take reasonable care with the information we receive. No website or email system can promise perfect security.

How long we keep it

We keep emails for as long as we need them to reply and to keep a record of our conversation, and delete them when they are no longer needed. Google Analytics is set to keep detailed visit records for two months.

This site links to other sites, including Second Half 365, the Second Half Expo and our store. Each has its own privacy policy, and this one does not cover them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
